02/14/20: Rode normal cranks to just past the bottom of Munz Ranch Rd (MRR)

Happy Valentine’s Day!!! It was a blessing that my DI-2 battery was low. My legs were very fatigued after the last several days of hard rides pedaling the PCs. I don’t remember the last time my legs were this fatigued. Today was the 1st ride in a while on normal cranks. I could really feel the difference in my pedaling – much smoother.

Today was a nice, warm, mid-February day. FOX@1:45: 66deg; S@5. A 20-25 mph SW’ly wind picked up west of Quartz Hill HS like it does a lot. I did a “half-hearted” 2-mile interval on Ave L between 70W and 90W. Cadence was obviously lower than normal because of the PCs. My average power was 216W; max power was 515W. Speed riding west was down to 11-13 mph. Since I was fatigued and wanted to ride my longest ride on the PCs tomorrow, I turned around just passed Munz Ranch Rd. The tailwind riding east was disappointing – more of a crosswind out of the south. My speed ranged from 20-23 mph riding east. FOX@3:25: 68deg; S@5 mph.
